In the beginning of 2018, the division name was changed and I started in a senior role. Engineering related tasks are as described below (see ’15 – ’18 period). Additional roles are: Chairman of Works Council (“Ondernemingsraad” in Dutch), Agile/Scrum team member, member of Social Committee and part of BHV team.

Developing hardware and software to enable (automated) testing of payment devices. Applications include EMV, NFC, eID and wireless payments.

Electronics design (analog and embedded), software development and project management (making offers, in-depth customer verification and feedback). I am involved in all project phases, from first consultation with customers to making offers and from making a prototype to mass-producing finished products.

research and development department, Graduation internship 

Developed and built a new type of gas heater switchbox. The device has a thermostat function and many options for setting different time schedules. The user interface consists of a graphic LCD screen and a custom membrane button foil. Worked on electronics- and product design, project management and software development.

Electronics department/huygens laboratory

Developed a speed- and direction controllable piezo motor driver, used in scanning tunneling microscopes; worked on analog circuit design.


Leiderdorp Instruments, Leiderdorp Sep. 2010 - Nov. 2010

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Designed and built a handheld, rechargeable device with an intuitive user interface to measure temperatures. This device can transfer its data (via WiFi or GPRS) to Leiderdorp Instruments's webserver where customers can log in and view, plot or export the data.

Member of the board, leader of a sea scouts subgroup and sailing instructor of children between 10 - 14. VaDeDo is the 2nd largest scouting group in South- Holland (200+ active youth members, ages 5 – 17). I have learned a lot about leading, coaching and motivating the youth members and my leadership team, as well as liaising with members’ parents. Every summer holiday we organise a sailing camp for the children.
